tournament UPDATES

  • Status CONFIRMED ON APR 26

  • Draws PUBLISHED

  • Registration CLOSED

  • Special Note for Parents 1: To help ensure a smooth and enjoyable event for all participants, we kindly ask that if your child is registered for the tournament, you ensure their attendance. In previous events, last-minute absences due to mild illnesses, fear of competing, lateness, or anxiety have disrupted the schedule and affected players who were counting on their opponents. We greatly appreciate your support in fostering commitment and sportsmanship in your children.

  • Special Note for Parents 2: Please understand that this a practice tournament which is part of our Regular Tennis program. The objective is not to achieve a specific result or score. Instead, our goal is for the children to keep learning how to compete in external tournaments, dealing with their emotions and dealing with new situations. Its is crucial for parents to realize that the children may feel confused and uncertain and sometimes frustrated and anxious - some tears may be possible -, and they may not know how to act in many situations. We will have officials who will answer any questions they may have. Parents do not need to worry or try to interfere in the process. All children and parents are in the same learning process. Therefore, its essential not to add pressure to the children, they will be dealing with many aspects of the competition and they need a pressure-free and didactic environment during the tournament to make it a productive and fun learning experience.

Tournament Updates

GET READY

Proper tournament preparation begins at least a week in advance. Ensure your child gets quality sleep, follows a balanced diet, and limits screen time. Approach training with mindfulness, while fostering a positive, winning mindset.

Make sure to gather all essential equipment, such as comfortable tennis shoes, two rackets, a cooler, plenty of water, overgrips, a towel, and a hat. Check the weather forecast for the tournament and ensure your child dresses appropriately: sunscreen and an extra towel if it's hot, or gloves and layers if it's cold.

Thoroughly review the tournament details, including the competition draws, and confirm the time of the first match. Double-check the tournament location, and plan to leave home early enough to arrive at least 30 minutes before the match begins.

A well-prepared athlete gains a significant strategic advantage!

commit

Please make sure to show up for the tournament. We understand that anxiety, stress, or feeling unwell can sometimes affect you, but part of being a tennis player is learning to overcome those emotions and still show up. Additionally, lack of preparation can lead to tardiness or absence, which impacts the entire event.

Remember, other participants and organizers are counting on your participation to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. Not showing up creates a difficult situation for the organizers, as well as frustration for other players and their families due to the lack of commitment.

Keep in mind that failing to attend may result in penalties, such as point deductions or even being restricted from future events.

To help ensure a successful event for all involved, please show up and give your best effort. Your commitment is essential to making the tournament a great experience for everyone!

WIN

Arrive at the tournament site at least 30 min before your match. Stretching, warming up, and acclimating to the environment are essential.

Maintain your focus on the game and prevent any distractions from affecting your concentration. Keep in mind, winning isn't influenced by external factors—it solely depends on you.

Relieve the pressure; remember that winning doesn't always equate to victory on the scoreboard. It also signifies gaining experience, acquiring knowledge, exhibiting self-control, and more.

Step out there and give it your all!
